Best selling novel Small Island by Andrea Levy has currently been adapted for screen by the BBC. Set in the 1940's, the story of the 'Windrush arrivals' who emigrated from Jamaica to England. Andrea Levy tells of the struggle of small mindedness from one small island to another. The follow up to this is Love Song published this February tells the stories of surviving slavery in the Caribbean. It's more up beat than you think!
